When Stress Becomes the Background
Most of us learn to push through. We answer one more message, finish one more task, brace for one more conversation. The body keeps a quieter record than the calendar does.
This is a short pause, not a fix. Read slowly. Notice where you're holding tension. You don't have to do anything about it yet — just notice.
When you're ready, place a hand somewhere warm on your body. Take three slow breaths. Then ask: what's one thing I've been carrying that I could set down, just for tonight?
Nothing has to be resolved. Nothing has to be named out loud. The relief is in the noticing.
